We regret that we will be unable to schedule as many visits as usual on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21 while Sarah and Preston will both be out of town. We cannot take any more midday visits on Saturday the 20th. Check with us if you need to schedule visits at other times that weekend, since we may be able to fit a few more in, but please have a back-up plan in mind. Don't leave it to the last minute! We will be able to schedule more visits for after noon on Sunday.

Sarah will also be attending the 2015 Pet Sitters World Educational Conference and Expo in Myrtle Beach from September 11 to 14, 2015, so we recommend avoiding scheduling your vacation during that time if you will need our services. Other professional sitters from the area will likely also be attending and able to take a smaller load of visits than usual on those dates.

We bid a fond farewell in mid-May to Marianne Shepperd, who owned Pet Sitters from its founding in October, 2002 until September, 2014 and had continued to pet sit with us after the company changed hands last year. Pet Sitters wouldn't be what it is today without her hard work and attention to customers. We wish her, her husband, and her birds good luck and much happiness in their new home in the Florida Keys.

Sadly, we also said goodbye to two other sitters recently: Victoria parted ways with us in late March when she moved to California, and Mike stopped sitting in April to concentrate on family business.

On a brighter note, we have also welcomed two new additions so far this year. Amy began doing mostly midday dog walks in January. She has one dog and multiple cats of her own, for whom Pet Sitters had sat before Amy joined us as a walker and sitter.

Preston is our newest addition. While new to pet sitting this May, he has lived with both dogs and cats for most of his life. We're glad to have him helping out during his summer break from his college studies in Virginia.

Luckily, most of the longtime sitters and walkers are also still with us. We hope that our customers will continue to be satisfied with our service. Sitters may come and go over the years, but our standards remain the same!
